Pegram has one-multi-purpose City Park. Many of the Town's
larger events are held in the park area, including the annual Independence
Day Celebration, the annual Christmas in Pegram Park, and the annual PVFD
City Halloween Cookout.
"Friends of Pegram Park" is a group of concerned citizens who meet on
the 3rd Monday of each month at the old City Hall bldg at 6:30 PM to discuss
Pegram Park needs. The "Friends of Pegram Park" group is responsible for
such activities as the Annual Easter Egg Hunt and Monthly Pegram Songwriters
Shows. The group has their own logo and invites ANY interested party to
attend the monthly meetings. They do not require you to live inside of
the city limits to be part of their group. Friends of Pegram Park web site is http://www.friendsofpegrampark.org. Their voice line number is 615-646-9820.
The park includes three ball fields, bating cage, a covered picnic area
with shelter and fireplace, a stage area, numerous picnic tables and grills,
children's playground, walking track, basketball and lighted tennis courts,
a sand volleyball court, the city fire hall and much more. The park entrance
is located off Thompson Road - just down from the Community Club and the
Little Red Caboose at the intersection of Hwy 70/Thompson Road.
